SENIOR PASTOR

Rev. Eric P. Guidry, Sr. was born on November 27, 1964 to Warren Sr., and Malinie Guidry in Port Arthur, Texas. After graduating from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1983 in Port Arthur, he joined the US Army and served for nearly a decade, receiving numerous accommodations and two Honorable Discharges.

He received his call to preach the gospel in 2002 in Richmond, Texas at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Larry Johnson.

He would return home to Port Arthur in 2004, where we united with the True Vine Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Late Rev. Frank Phillips. He later joined New St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Claude Comeaux, Jr. where he spent 8 years growing and developing under the tutelage and shepherding of Pastor Comeaux. In November of 2012, Rev. Guidry became the senior pastor of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

In addition to his ministry appointment at “The Hill,” Pastor Guidry serves as the 1st Vice Moderator of the Eastern Progressive Missionary Baptist District Association, and as a member of the Port City Rescue Mission Board of Directors.

He is married to the lovely Yolanda Guidry. They have five children Keshia, Eric Jr., Brandon, Faith, and Tempist (deceased). The loves of his life also include his grandchildren Jakayla, Javonah, and Alina. Pastor Guidry also has ten siblings—eight sisters and two brothers.
